Then those Apps continue to be supported / fixed to work with the latest operating systems for those users, as well as bug fixes. As there are still so many people relying on CS6, if those users paid, for example, £250 a year. Perhaps it would be good if Adobe launched a CS6 support scheme that they charged for. There's really no reason to continue with either Apple or Adobe as their cost to benefit ratio has dropped so low in terms of quality and customer service. If El Capital cause CS6 performance issues, can I revert back to Yosemite?
Second question - I have a bootable Yosemite USB I created. But if it will risk breaking my CS6 workflow, I won't upgrade at all. I am really curious to whether my late-2013 MBP will perform well in El Capital. I am happy with the CS6, since it is a hobby now (I use CC at work). I also find it really hard to bite the bullet and get into subscription because it will cost a lot more in long term.
Many of us have spent a lot of money buying their software. I do agree with everyone that Adobe isn't doing its part to reward loyal customers. Do you guys think it is the Java upgrade related? The latest Java is probably used in El Capitan but CS6 is a older software, probably isn't compatible with the latest Java. But for most people, CS6 encounter performance issues. That's why I started researching to see if it will break the CS6.įrom what I read in this thread, CS6 work for some people after El Capitan upgrade, especially Java is upgraded at the same time. Hence I don't want to be locked into a subscription. I'm an amateur photographer, professional graphic designer (but I don't freelance anymore) and will start looking into videography as a hobby. I bought a CS6 Master Collection boxed software last year.
